Cajas National Park Day Trip – Ecuador

Explore the mountains surrounding Cuenca, Ecuador on an optional day trip to Cajas National Park!

This is an all day guided excursion in which we’ll hike in the Parque Nacional El Cajas* for a few hours, enjoy a gourmet lunch and experience the “gateway to the snowy mountains”.

This ancient glaciated terrain has 270 lakes, several rare species of birds and all sorts of other animals (cats, bats, pumas, coatis, etc) – hopefully we get lucky and see some fun animals!

This day trip includes: transportation, guide, lunch, national park entrance

*The ideal participant is physically able to hike for 3 hours at a high elevation, between 11 and 12,000 ft.
