Mitad del Mundo & Quito Historic City Tour

Don’t miss straddling the equator at Mitad del Mundo, seeing the incredible city of Quito and the Andes mountains and soaking in volcanic hot springs!

This is a two day pre-trip excursion in northern Ecuador. We will straddle the equator at latitude 00, Mitad del Mundo, then make our way to Ecuador’s capital (Quito) take an historic tour of of this city that lies at 10,000 feet. The next day we will visit the magical and healing water of Papallacta hot springs before boarding a flight and heading down to Cuenca to meet our host families.

Here is the general itinerary:

• Thursday, June 12th: Arrive into UIO (Quito), Ecuador and stay at hotel with group.
• Friday, June 13th: Breakfast & morning meet up and explore Mitad del mundo, sundial and Quito Historic city tour. Lunch included. Stay night at hotel near airport, included in price
• Saturday, June 14th: Wake up and drive 1.5 hours to Papallacta thermal springs. Hike and soak in the healing waters. Eat lunch and head back to UIO airport for an afternoon flight to Cuenca. Transportation and hot springs entrance included. You book your own flight to Cuenca. Meet your host family and your home stay experience begins

This excursion includes:

• 2 nights hotel lodging (double or triple occupancy)
• Breakfasts on Friday and Saturday
